I can’t believe Evan is TEN!
Mom doesn’t get to brag very often - it’s not becoming - but I am today.
Because he is special.
From the day he was born he has been so easy.
He was a thumb sucker - so that helped.
Of course he sucked his thumb for 8 years (only at night in those last years) but whose counting!

He has such an amazing spirit.
He is always happy - not much rattles him.
We call him Tigger - because he is always bouncing around - from here to there.
He is a social butterfly. In fact - he gets in trouble alot at school for talking and socializing too much. (Gets that from me!)
He generally does what he is asked immediately and without complaint.
Actually he loves to help out anyone who needs it.

He is an incredible athlete.
Good at most any sport he plays. Not the best - but good for sure.
He is a Momma’s boy - and I love that.
He will snuggle with me on the couch and gives me back rubs when he knows I need one.
He is the middle child - and his laid back attitude sometimes gets taken advantage of.
With a pre-teen and a 3 year old in the house - he is sweet relief from the chaos.

His red curly hair gets him lots of attention but he is always humble and when asked where he got it from, always says “God gave it to me”.
He is a little OCD (again from me) and asked me, just last night, if I noticed he organized the shoes in his closet.
I could go on and on….
Like how great of a big brother he is to Owen.
But I will stop for now.
Obviously he has his faults (like he can bold face lie to you!)
But today is his birthday - so we won’t talk about that!
Happy Birthday buddy.
You are such an awesome part of our family - my day is not complete until I kiss your forehead at night when you are asleep.
Love you SO SO much!
